How We Research & Verify Content

Our guides are written to genuinely answer the questions cooks ask. This page explains how we research, write, verify, review, and update our content — so you can trust what you read.

How We Research

Our guides begin with the question a real cook would ask. We research each topic using authoritative sources — government agencies, regulators, peer-reviewed research, and recognised technical organisations. We distinguish general material facts (what titanium is, how it behaves) from Titan product-specific claims (what our specific pans do). Where a claim is product-specific, we state it as such.

How We Select Sources

We prioritise primary sources: government agencies (FDA, EPA, ECHA), regulators, peer-reviewed research, and recognised technical organisations. We do not cite another cookware retailer as scientific proof of a material or safety claim. Where a source is secondary, we trace it to its primary origin where possible. Sources are listed at the bottom of each article with publication and access dates.

How We Verify Product Claims

Product-specific claims (heat distribution, food release behaviour, durability) are verified through hands-on testing by our team. We do not publish a performance claim we have not observed ourselves. Where a claim cannot be verified, we do not make it. Safety and regulatory claims are cross-referenced against the relevant authority before publication.

How Articles Are Reviewed

Each article is written by a member of our editorial team and reviewed before publication. Safety-critical and regulatory content undergoes an additional fact-check. Our author and reviewer information is displayed on each article. Where a qualified external reviewer has reviewed content, their name is credited.

How We Handle Corrections

If we discover a factual error in a published article, we correct it promptly and, where the error is substantive, add a correction notice explaining what changed and why. Minor typographical fixes do not trigger a correction notice. We do not silently rewrite the substance of an article without noting the update.

How We Update Content

We review our guides periodically. When a material fact, regulation, or safety standard changes, we update the article and record the updated date. We do not change the updated date for minor typo fixes. The last fact-check date is shown on safety-critical articles.

Authorship

Where genuine individual authors can be verified, their name and credentials are displayed on the article. Where individual authorship cannot be verified, content is attributed to the Titan Cookwares Editorial Team.

Our editorial team is led by Robert Harrison, Founder & Head of Product, with over five decades of hands-on experience in the cookware industry.

Source Citations

For safety, regulatory, and material claims, we cite authoritative sources at the bottom of each article. We prefer government agencies, regulators, peer-reviewed research, and recognised technical organisations. We do not cite another cookware retailer as scientific proof. Sources include the publication name, URL, and access date where available.
